Villa Giustinian – Rosso Veneto IGT

Villa Giustinian is our signature wine, one of the first Bordeaux-style blends in Italy, combining Venetian winemaking expertise and tradition with the international character of the great French grape varieties. We love it for its complex structure, which blends notes of pipe tobacco, licorice, cocoa, and leather with ethereal and vanilla-like elements.
This wine embodies the history and vision of the Ciani Bassetti family, who sought to revive a culture of winemaking excellence at Castello di Roncade. It’s perfect for pairing with rich dishes and truly special occasions.

Tasting notes

Intense, unworldly, slightly oaky, offering a bouquet of ripe fruit with notes of spice, together with tertiary aromas of vanilla, pipe tobacco, liquorice, cocoa and leather. Mouthfeel is dry, savoury, warm, rich in tannins, perfectly smoothed by aging in barrels, with considerably long finish and a prune and cherry aftertaste.

Pairings

Pairs well with hearty red meat dishes and roasts. It becomes a wine for contemplation as it ages.
